<![CDATA[We offer two ways for Howcast Director's to earn money:

* We pay you a flat $50 for each video that you successfully complete.
* As soon as your video achieves 40,000 views on Howcast, we will split any money (50/50) that we make from advertising next to your videos. If we make money, you make money. It’s that simple. We'll also split any money we make by placing your video on any of our growing list of distribution partners (like YouTube, MySpace, Joost, etc).

<![CDATA[Yes, in more ways than one. First, your profile photo and name will be featured next to your video on the Howcast video playback pages. Make sure you upload a profile photo and spiff up your profile page.

Also, when you upload your video, there will be a credit section where you will be asked to list yourself as Director, and everyone else that helped out and what they did. Tell anyone who worked on your video (crew, actors, musicians, artists, etc.) to log onto the site and create a user profile for themselves. By creating a profile, they can get linked to every Howcast video they’ve worked on.

Hidden videos can still be viewed by visiting the playback page for that video, but they do not appear in search or any of the browse pages. You cannot make an application or assignment video "public" from the edit video page.

If your video is approved, it will automatically be moved to a "public" state, and will appear in search results and browse pages. We do not instantly make your video public to give us time to review the quality of your submission.
